THE PK STORY

PaperKrane began back in 2012, in Melbourne Australia, with a vision to create foot-friendly, origami-inspired booties for babies and toddlers that would do no harm to those little developing feet. What started as a solo handmade operation at the kitchen table - powered by a cult social media following - steadily grew into a thriving business partnership by 2016.

With a shared vision at the helm, PaperKrane began to expand globally in 2016 and 2017. We partnered with a factory in Vietnam, launched adult sizes, and began building a small international stockist network.

Since then, we've experienced plenty of highs and lows as the team behind the brand worked to grow our global presence. From managing large-scale production to navigating the chaos of COVID-19, we’ve continued to innovate with new styles and sizes. Through it all, we’ve stayed true to our mission: freeing feet - with radical style, vibrant colour, and a whole lotta FUN.

After a whirlwind of growth, PaperKrane has stepped into a new era, leaning even more into what makes us... us. Think bold design, real comfort, radical self-expression, and a big dose of body autonomy.

We're still pinching ourselves at how far we’ve come, and honestly, we owe it all to YOU. There’s still plenty more we’re dreaming up for the future, but one thing’s for sure... we're proud as punch that our mission and values are going strong. Our focus on keeping things comfy, fun, and customer-first hasn’t changed. And the support from our amazing PK community? Still absolutely next-level.
